Welcome to

St Neots Table Tennis Club

Hi Members,

Finally some good news, the government are allowing indoor sport to resume from the 25th July. The management committee will open the club as close to this date as possible but it will probably be early August.

We are currently awaiting advice and guidance from our governing body table tennis England (TTE). We have been following the advice that has been posted so far by TTE, on their website. We have been developing a plan for how we can implement their guidance. There will be restriction and the club will NOT be open as normal. You will NOT be able to open the club and just go in and play. This plan has to be finalised and rules set and implemented. Unfortunately this takes time. There will be restriction on the number of participants in the club at a given time and on the times that the club is open. The opening time restriction will depend on how many non playing steward we have to run and manage each sessions. The fewer stewards we have then the less the club will be open. Please let the management committee know if you are prepared to steward any of these sessions. If this is left just to the management committee, most of whom are in the vulnerable category for covid-19, and then very few sessions will be available.

When the plan has been finalised and the rules and restriction are in place you will be informed of the plan. You will also be informed of the rules, and the penalties for not adhering to said rules and the opening date and times for the club. Please bear with your management committee while we take the time to get our plan correct and working after all we are doing this for your safety, your family’s safety and the safety of other members.

Dear Members,

After the latest government advice regarding COVID-19 and social gatherings the management committe has decided that in the interest of the health of our members and their familes to close the table tennis club with immediate effect until futher notice.

We are reluctant to take these measures but we believe this is an unprecidented situation to which action was required.

We will email out again when this situation changes. Please keep a watch on our web site and social media accounts for future updates

This is the first time in 45 years that the club had to shut it doors

Keep yourselves safe and well.
